NACTA, The National Association of Career Travel Agents, was established in 1986 as the original association with a mission to represent the interests of independent and home based travel entrepreneurs. Host travel agencies and Supplers who support this growing sector of the distribution channel are also members of NACTA. The National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA) is the foremost Travel Industry Association dedicated to providing the finest education, training, networking and representation in support of Career Travel Agents.
ASTA, short for the American Society of Travel Agents, is the world's largest association of travel professionals. Members include travel agents and the companies those products they sell such as tours, cruises, hotels, car rentals, etc. We are the leading advocate for travel agents, the travel industry and the traveling public.
IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network) is a department of IATA and has been servicing all aspects of the US Travel and Tourism industry for more than 20 years. IATAN offers global recognition and global reach, which no other accreditation program can.
CLIA was formed in 1975 in response to a need for an association to promote the special benefits of cruising and in 2006 merged with the International Council of Cruise Lines (ICCL), a sister entity created in 1990 dedicated to participating in the regulatory and policy development process of the cruise industry. CLIA exists to promote all measures that foster a safe, secure and healthy cruise ship environment, educate, train its travel agent members, and promote and explain the value, desirability and affordability of the cruise vacation experience.
